Why am I studying Japanese

I started becoming interested in Japan in high school. Back then I became very good friends with two Japanese guys, and ever since we have been keeping in touch. Through them I was introduced to the Japanese culture and the strong differences in the way of living and thinking was very interesting to me. This summer I went to Japan to visit them, and my interest in Japan increased even more. I hope that I can go back there in the near future, and this time with better skills in Japanese!
